Easter Bunny 2011!

We went to see the Easter Bunny today.

Kelby was so excited. She walked right up to him and sat next to him. She told hm what she wanted for Easter. Also she added a song and dance for the Easter Bunny. She kept waving at him and told me that she thought that the Easter Bunny was soooo cool.

Briley, on the other hand, HATED the Easter Bunny with a passion. If looks could kill, he would be dead. She did not want any part of him. I had to hold her just to get her in the pic. I didn't want to be in the pic, but I wanted Briley in the pic. because I knew it would be a good memory for Briley to remember how scared she was of the Easter Bunny. If you can see a close up of the picture, you can see just how terrified the poor girl was terrified.

We went on with some shopping in the mall, and the girls and I went and ate some lunch. Well we had to pass through where the bunny was to get back to where we had parked. When we went back to where the bunny was, Briley saw him and started screaming and crying again. Kelby was waving and wanting to go see him again.  Everyone started looking at us. I did a fast paced walk by the Easter Bunny cause she was crying so loud. I think many of the people were cracking up. They saw one kid loving him, and the other one hating him. I would have laughed too if it were someone else. Briley also hated Santa.

Hopefully by Christmas, Briley will be ready to see Santa. I have a lot of brain washing to do.

Destin, Fl here we come....Again!

We are going to Destin this summer again. It's our 11th trip to Florida! Brad and I love to go. Especially with our girls and our family. We all have such a great time. The family keeps getting bigger each year.
This year will be different. The reason being Brad and I, with our girls, are gonna fly to Fort Walton! We have never flown together and our girls have never flown at all. It will be a good expierence for them. I have flown a few times to Washington D.C. and then to Costa Rica. Brad has flown to D.C. and a few other places. When we went on our cruise together we drove to Galveston, and everytime we have gone to Florida we have driven. It's going to be a lot better for us to fly. We won't be so tired when we get there, and we all go nuts because of the kids being in the car for so long. We are flying round trip with all 4 of us for $300.00. Each one of us was $50.00 to and back from Florida and Briley was free since she is a baby. We would have spent more in gas and hotel!

Anyway, you can click on my "house in florida" and it will take you to the house we will be staying in Florida this year. It has pictures and will tell you of all the things that come with the house. Super excited! We always stay in really nice houses, but as I said our family grows every year. So this year we have a bigger house, and it's closer to the beach, and it's close to our family favorite restaurant the, Crab Trap!

If you've never vacationed in Destin, I highly recommend it. It's very family oriented and layed back. It's got great beaches, and my favorite thing is it's located in the U.S. So you don't have to worry about passports, getting stolen and sold into human trafficing, you know, that sort of thing. LOL!  It has alot of things to do for adults and children. And, did I mention, the beaches are gorgeous! Just like anywhere in the Caribbean. It's got great shopping also. We have had many great years there. I've had a lot of friends ask me this year about Destin. We have many friends and family that go every year. If you have been there, I know you had to enjoy it. The only people I know who didn't enjoy their trip down there didn't like it because a hurrican was there. They got rained on the whole time. They are going back this summer to try again. I hope they have a great time.  Other than that, I've always heard great things.

I hope you all have a great and safe summer!

Kelby is playing T-Ball!!!

Kelby is playing t-ball this summer. Brad and I are so very excited. She had her first practice last Friday night. I don't think she realized when we told her she was playing what all t-ball entailed and how fun it would be. After her first practice, she talked and talked anout how much fun she had. She said she is ready for next weeks practice. And of course, next week to her means tomorrow. Everyday she asks, "is it t-ball practice day?" I have to tell her it's Friday.

Of course we had to have all pink stuff for her to play. She wanted a pink glove, pink cleets, pink helmet, and a pink bat. So far she just got balck cleets with a pink Nike sign and a pink helmet. Her bat is red and white and her glove is black. She is obsessed with the color pink if you didn't know.

She wants to hit all the time. She wants to be the one to get every ball hit too.
I hope she has fun and wants to keep playing. I also hope we don't have any disasters as far as getting rocked by a throw or hit to the body.

If you can come watch her play, you'll love it. The girls team that she is on is a really good group of girls. They are all Kelby's friends and cousins too. Of course Kelby's #1 fans will be her grandparents. I doubt they all miss a game, including her great grandparents.

I'll try to post some video and pics up of her. It's quit comical to watch. I think us parents have more fun watching them then they have playing. We are also a little proud too. Even when they do wrong, we still are proud.

Kelby is in the purple. She is prepping up to go get the ball! hahaha! It's so funny to watch.
